Our Journey
“There is always somebody for all of us, and for those who don’t have anybody, they have Shakthidhama”. We truly believe and follow this, Shaktidhama’s has walked this path for over 25 years. From humble beginnings to being home to over 4000 girls, and helping realise their dreams, enabling them to carve an identity of their own, we take pride in what we do.
The foundation is now gearing up to flag off an ashram-school that will have our children get education inside the Facility, Equipped with baking facility, computer training, tailoring training, honey processing, yoga training, we aim to introduce the children to skills that could shape their future.

“At Shaktidhama, we believe children must be taught ‘how to think’ and not ‘what to think’ so Shaktidhama aims to build a state-of-the-world facility for children to dare to dream.”
Shakthidhama women’s rehabilitation and development center started working in the year 1997. It is located in Mysuru, Karnataka and has rescued and rehabilitated over 4000 women.
Most of them are now leading a respectable life.
The work continues with additional facilities created to provide skill development and training for women to achieve economic self-reliance. Two counselling units of the center help to overcome the trauma they have gone through.

What We Do
Accommodation
Unwed mothers, Rape Victims, Pregnant women are admitted as soon as they approach our door step.
Counseling
Women in need are given proper counselling and support as an immediate measure.
Medical Support
Post natal care, infant care, counseling is provided along with an extended stay until child grows up to 3 to 6 years.
Education
We provide residential educational opportunities for the girls coming from disadvantaged families.
Legal Support
We provide required legal support and help women to get justice in the court of law.
Skill Development
We enable women to achieve economic self reliance through various skill development activities.
