DR. RAJKUMAR

Dr. Rajkumar, moved by the plight of women struggling to find a shelter along with Mr. Kempaiah, a retd IPS, decided to begin Shakthidhama with the sole intention of lending a helping hand to women in distress.

Dr. Rajkumar, 'Annavaru’ as he is fondly called is Indian actor and singer in the Kannada Film Industry. Widely acclaimed as one of the finest actors in the history of Indian cinema, he is considered a cultural icon and holds a matinée idol status in the Kannada diaspora. He was honored with the Padma Bhushan Award in 1983. He was acclaimed as one of the most generous and socially proactive cinema artists in India for his various contributions.

SMT. PARVATHAMMA RAJKUMAR

Dr. Parvathamma Rajkumar, the wife of Dr. Rajkumar He played a significant role in the growth and success of Shakthidhama. She walked the path of philantrophy with Dr. Rajkumar and was involved in every aspect of administration and the smooth functioning of the organisation.

Apart from being a stalwart at Shakthidhama, Dr. Parvathamma Rajkumar is an Indian film producer and distributor. She was awarded with a doctorate from Bangalore University. Amongst the awards she has received are the Phalke Academy award, Kannada Rajyotsava and a lifetime achievement award from the Government of Karnataka.

Sri. KEMPAIAH IPS

Sri Kempaiah, retd. IPS from Karnataka, India. From it’s inception, Shakthidhama has been led under his guidance. Bringing in a human touch and orderly to the administration, he is one of the main pillars of strength to Shakthidhama. Sri Kempaiah has left his indelible mark of service in Mysuru District, known to have successfully hunted down Rajiv Gandhi’s assassins in Bengaluru. He is also called as the renaissance man of the Police Department, having restored almost all the dilapidated Police Stations without sacrificing the heritage character of the buildings in Mysuru.
